In 2019 Australia witnessed the hottest year on record. Coupled with drought and strong winds that led to forest fires that lasted for more than 4 months, more than millions of acres of land were impacted and more than 500 million animal lives were lost. Are such extreme weather cases related to climate changes resulted in heated debates among scientists. Similarly how the island of Taiwan, which is also facing extreme weather, is going to cope with extreme climate events is something worth pondering.
