1081228-Key to COP25 climate change conference failure and future expectations

The UNFCCC COP 25 came to an end. This year’s conference ended two days after the expected date, but the results were not entirely satisfactory. The key issue was in the negotiation of “article VI of the Paris Agreement” on the rights and obligations of international collaboration, regulation of carbon markets. As major carbon emissions countries like the USA and Brazil as well as a consensus was hard to arrive at between the EU and island nations, more of the sticking points will be delayed and discussed at COP26 in London in 2020.
